- Incorporates EEOC criteria in an individualized assessment
Kansas City, Kansas (KCK) put in place an ordinance on November 6, 2014 that specifically eliminates a field on applications that requests information about criminal convictions for Unified Government positions. The supporting agency created a petition, which was signed by more than 400 people. The position states, “We believe that just as all Citizens must pay taxes, all Citizens should have a fair chance at employment that is sustained by those same tax dollars.”
